Tooth extractions are widely considered to be a last resort for dentists, but sometimes they are necessary if your tooth is a threat to the rest of your oral health. Even though tooth extractions are not performed often, our office is more than equipped to perform them as safely and effectively as possible, no matter how complex they may be. If your tooth is severely damaged and in need of extraction, don’t wait to give our office a call!
Tooth extractions may be performed for a wide variety of reasons, but the most common reason is because of a badly damaged tooth that can be saved by a dental filling, crown or root canal treatment. Alternatively, teeth may require an extraction if they are taking up room and you plan on undergoing orthodontic treatment. If you have multiple teeth that your mouth cannot accommodate, an extraction may also be needed. If we believe that one of your teeth needs to be extracted, we’ll always break down our reasoning exactly so you can be an informed patient.
